Austin, in the first 140 days of 2017, is one of the most important cities in Texas as the State Legislature conducts its 85th Legislative session and TAHC&H presents its 2017 Legislative Conference. More than a conference, this is an event for home care and hospice agencies from throughout the state to come together, support one another, and focus on timely issues that will affect our shared future. It will be an opportunity to magnify the voice of the home care and hospice community in every corner of our Texas State Capital.
Over the course of the conference, participants will focus on excellence in home care and hospice service delivery. As a bonus, results from the largest national research study on the State of the Home Health Industry will be presented with the opportunity for participants to learn about how they can drive real change in organizational structure and operational processes by using key tools from the fields of Lean Management and Six Sigma change.
Attendees will have the opportunity to bring important messages about Home Care and Hospice to the Texas State Capital on Wednesday afternoon, reminding legislators that home care and hospice agencies provide more high quality care that costs less to Texans and their families, saving the State billions of dollars by preventing higher cost services. Opening sessions before lunch on Wednesday will arm you with helpful tips, written materials and suggested messaging.
