The Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) will not process Medically Dependent Children Program (MDCP) contract applications postmarked after June 30, 2016.
The Health and Human Services (HHSC) system is expanding children and young adults who are currently enrolled in MDCP into managed care beginning November 1, 2016. The managed care expansion is a result of amendments to the Texas Healthcare Transformation and Quality Improvement Program 1115 demonstration waiver.
Please note: A request for a MDCP contract application postmarked on or before June 30, 2016 will continue to be processed by DADS staff.
