About the PAC Council

The TAHC&H Political Action Committee (PAC) plays a critical role in advancing the legislative and regulatory interests of home care and hospice providers. Our PAC Council members serve as ambassadors for our mission, helping to raise awareness, guide advocacy strategies, and support elected officials who champion our cause.

Membership Requirements

Eligibility Requirements: To become a member of the PAC Council, you must be an active member of TAHC&H. Council Members are required to contribute a minimum of $500 annually for each year of service, as stipulated in the PAC Bylaws.

Why Join the PAC Council?

As a PAC Council member, you will:

  • Guide Strategic Giving: Help shape our strategic plan for PAC contributions to effectively influence the legislative and regulatory decisions impacting home care and hospice services in Texas.

  • Engage and Empower: Work alongside TAHC&H leadership to engage elected officials and ensure our voice is heard on the issues most important to the industry.

  • Foster Connections: Cultivate meaningful relationships with elected officials to enhance grassroots advocacy efforts and inspire champions to act on the issues that matter most.

Responsibilities and Expectations

Being a member of the TAHC&H PAC Council takes time and dedication. Members are expected to:

  • Attend at least four in-person or virtual Council meetings per year, held in conjunction with TAHC&H committee meetings, along with additional monthly meetings via virtual means at the discretion of the PAC Chair. Council Members are expected to attend all meetings, be prompt, and remain for the duration of each meeting. Members are allowed two (2) unexcused missed meetings.

  • Make a minimum annual contribution of $500 during each year of service, as outlined in the PAC Bylaws. Council Members must contribute a minimum of $125 (25% of the total requirement) to the PAC by March 31 of each calendar year.

  • Assist in raising PAC contributions and periodically engage with fellow TAHC&H members to encourage their support.

  • Participate in determining the donations to be made from the PAC to state and federal candidates.

The PAC Council recognizes that its members are leaders in their field, and we respect their time and commitment. For this reason, we selectively request involvement where members can be most effective.
